Member Processing & Orientation

Optional New Member One-On-One Meet and Greet

Agents applying for REALTOR® membership at the Nevada County Association of REALTORS® can choose to schedule a one-on-one meeting with our Member Services staff to go over general membership information, MLS subscription, lock box key service and all other necessary services and fees are reviewed and submitted to complete the sign-on process.  At that time, staff will review the membership system, logon information and procedures as well as provide basic information on the value of membership.  New members are then reminded of the required NCAR Member Orientation and asked to schedule a date on the membership system.

New Member Orientation and Ethics Training

Agents applying for REALTOR® membership at the Nevada County Association of REALTORS® must attend New Member Orientation offered monthly, and complete a minimum of 2.5 hours education on the National Association of REALTOR® Code of Ethics. This requirement must be fulfilled within the first 90 days of submitting a new member application. Failure to complete this requirement within the 90-day requirement will result in suspension of membership.

The New Member Orientation program includes topics essential for your success as a REALTOR®, allowing you to conduct yourself professionally and ethically.  The session also  provides you with tools and services  to promote your business and image, enabling you to prospect and build a successful career.  Topics include Association Value, Member Benefits at the Local, State and National Level; REALTOR® Code of Ethics, Anti-trust, Fair Housing, Forms, Advocacy, Education, Community Outreach, Member Involvement and Building Your Business.

Join your fellow professionals to learn all about our member benefits, and discover how your membership works for you! For members who have not been active, this is the perfect time to get reacquainted & updated on so many new benefits and programs to help your business grow!

There is no cost for the live Orientation or Ethics programs. New Member Orientation is presented at our Nevada County Association of REALTORS® offices located at 336 Crown Point Circle, Grass Valley, CA  95945 so that our new members can have an opportunity to tour the building, get acquainted with services and meet with all of our on-site staff.

Completing Orientation

Access the association calendar for scheduled orientation sessions.  You can register for a session by calling the association at (530)272-2627.  Once you have completed your orientation and Ethics training, you will be invited to a membership breakfast at which time you will be inducted and recognized by our association membership.
